Tamer Embroidery
Orum I see our journey to the future as a bridge that will connect us to our essence and prehistoric human equation. The future is not just technology. "
You are in the list of 100 100 young talent to determine the creative future of Europe and and according to the international art platform Artsy, you are one of the 10 Turkish Contemporary Artists to be recognized. This should be a very good approval and also motivation for production. What is your emotions on this subject?
Firstly, thank you. Since the beginning of the road, I have always believed that I had to say something worldwide. I'm not saying this to put myself somewhere, but I think something happens when he works with motivation and vision. I wanted to touch the corners of the world, perhaps I would never see, all those people I wouldn't meet with my ideas. My goal was to change the world in this way. In some way, it was always like that, if I can inspire, I am happy to me ... After all, you come to this life once, whatever you want to do is worth chasing. When I was a student in Mimar Sinan, I worked in Fiat's concept design department in Italy, and my focus has always been the world of the future. I think I feel more free internationally, and I'm moving on that route.
How to our lives of augmented reality technologyL do you think you will penetrate?
Do you remember, there were no smartphones once, people lived a happy life by playing “Snake” on their phones. (There may be those who remember my Nokia 888 project. Therefore, it is natural that people cannot imagine the next digital transformation. However, this time we are about to step into the world we are not really used to. What is coming is not just a technology; Just like Walkman invention, a device that will open the door to a brand new perception dimension. Perhaps our senses, movements, feelings that we never know will develop. Imagine that one evening, when you go home, you say that all the buildings should be red, and suddenly the world around you completely changes dimension. You are lying on the grass with your lover, watching the sky, and you can only write his name in the clouds in a world where you can only display. Think of it as a visual radio channel. Numerous layers will be added to reality. What they will bring in the fields of design and architectural is also a groundbreaking size. Now the subject of "Holographic Collaboration" is being discussed. With this method, users in different parts of the world can work at the same time, architects can see the applied version of the design while visiting a construction site, perhaps the design will make the design there. This technology is already existing and we are going through a planned preparation process through Instagram filters. Soon this technology will enter our lives with Ar goggles and the limits of what is real and not will begin to disappear. Personally, I'm excited to experience this world. It will also be interesting to witness this change of humanity. A very serious virtual world dependentLThere will be those who carry this to the extract. On the other hand, I think that AR is a technology that has the potential to raise our collective consciousness when used in a good direction. At least we will raise our heads from the screens and look at the real world. This is a detail that should not be missed.
You had the opportunity to meet Iris Apfel in IWD2021. At the beginning was one of the #futureisblankhats designs. As a fashion icon, I am very curious about Iris Apfel's comment on the hat.
It was extremely fun to meet Iris; About two years than thatL First we met for the launch of our cooperation with Nude at The New Museum in New York. It was an unforgettable night. The guests were just as colorful, creativeLIt was as if it was the exact celebration of the rank ... Iris has an indescribable energy. No stranger when we meetLWe didn't take it. (Of course he looked at my hat, that moment PhotographyI always remember that he was holding my hand while talking, even leaning on my ear and made a small joke. I don't know if he remembers me and my hat, but I remember all the accessories on him one by one, and I will never forget that miraculous energy I bought from him.
Are there any moments when the designer and self as an artist overlap as an artist?
Of course it happens, but sometimes it can come out of the places where it conflicts. I do not want to answer this question, "I'm at a point between the two," because both of them strengthen each other for me. My father's friend told me one day, "Everyone can be a good architect, but everyone can not be a good architect who can play the piano. I was in high school at that time. I was editing my future on the one hand. I never left the piano after that word. It reminds me that I am lucky to be able to look deeper.
In this direction, I am constructing my design projects within the framework of a concept that I call “UNDesigned ;; Open -ended designs, every person's own touch of products I create products.
What message would you give you a personal wake-up message every morning?
It is a more pleasant thought to imagine who comes with the voice of the message ...
What is the equation of human, space and object?
Every day, every second, I build new scenarios that can be produced in this equation. That's how I can define my work. Since the components are variable, it is not an equation that can be solved, but it is a key to questioning the validity of the rules and expectations that exist when starting each project. In fact, the equation is very simple, which is to see the world with a different eye, and in a sense, to see everything as it is. If we had lived on another planetL would it be?
You're a kind of future passengers. So, what are the indispensables in this journey?
Orange Cubüm, My Nooka Watches and My Cat Shiva.
What is the equation of the past, future and us/essence?
I am trying to explore what does not always exist in my work and bring something from the future to the present. But there are points where I feel that I touch the past while trying to reach the future. I see our journey to the future as a bridge that will connect us to our essence and prehistoric human equation. The future is not just technology.
Has there been a encounter in art life that provides change/transformation?
Last yearL The Residence period in Gate 27 was quite guiding for me. Curated by the beloved Beral Madra, being in production with local and foreign artists added a new perspective to me. I have experienced a process in which my artist identity has settled and valued.
Is there a virtue you defend?
None of us know the universe, the head, end, meaning of all of these more than someone else. No matter what we say, there are things that no one can explain at the end of the road, there is a miracle. So I believe that everything is possible and always myself to all frequencies and possibleLI keep it open. Like many of us, I'm looking for that answer. This gives me strength. #futureisblank
Sit down and inspiration is not expected. shopi go ART Can you tell us about the journey of inspiration to the work of Geo II, which was exhibited in the Narcadere?
Actually, a series from the past, Geo series. Geo I, the first product of the series, 2012LI placed it on a abandoned building in Cihangir. But then one morning, we heard that the installation was stolen from the roof just a few days after the installation! So it was an idea that I could never hold with my hand, I always wanted to go back for me, and years later, Gate 27 came up again. This time it is an even bigger ÖLIn a check, I decided to bring back the work with a new interpretation. shopi go ARTI had a long time in the building of the building in Nutrutdere. Once I saw that frame in my head, it wouldn't be expected to be otherwise. At that time, it was still in the stage of its establishment shopi go ART With the trust and support of the team, we realized the project in exciting size and new format. On the night of December 31st, he started his journey with the cheer of children who played in the water pool in front of Arter.
I have been interested in Anaglyph 3D since the beginning, where we physically applied this effect with fine engineering and workmanship. Even those who see it closely think that there is a projection or hologram. In fact, when you look at the photos taken with red-cyan glasses, you can perceive the form in 3D. For me, as always, an open -end project is the Geo series. I am currently working on an AR filter and NFT project.
You are in constant production; In this case, what is your relationship with time?
“According to a theory put forward in the 1920s, human time only compared the time he lived.Lcan call. For example, 1 week for a 1 -month baby coincides with one -fourth of his life, or with the same account, a 5 -year -old child counts the 26 days for the rest of the New Year, while this time period corresponds to the perception of a 70 -year -old 70 -year -old person. For this reason, as people get older than people, the years pass faster or when they are little like that summer holidays come to us as years. The reason I explain this is that time is relative for every living thing. Breaking this cycle is also going through change, the more "too" you live, the more you live; I try to experience life more by throwing myself into different experiences, different cities and different projects. All of my time is going to find the intersections between the world inside and real life, as you said, I am constantly in production. Of course, time is not enough, but I have never complained about this situation. As long as I have new things to say, I feel like one of the lucky people who have found the purpose of his life as long as I can put forward meaningful works. I feel that the process of pandemi and our new life order is good for me, like many artists.
I finally found the time to focus on my music, and I will even have a publication on it very soon. I'm very excited, I can say that for now.
Which habit did you give up?
It would be perfect if I could give up my perfectionism.
Is there a continuous repeating cycle about your life?
Whenever I feel that I am not fully understood by my own or my environment in my life, a sign comes from an unexpected place, that I am on the right path and the existing equation will be invalid. I go to the next step. My mother said, "Something big happens to you in autumn every year, are you aware of it?" He says to me. The only guide thing is that I think it should be your own inner voice.
You meet Tamer from the future, what would you ask him first?
Of course, the first question that comes to mind: Did the aliens come?
One of the most painful effects of production is that the artist approaches himself and his works. How is this inner voiceL do you silence or use it?
It is a really difficult question and a difficult issue. "Obsessions Make My Life Worsse and My Work Better." Stefan Sagmeister's word comes to mind.
You are the child of an artisan father, how to the art of itL Can you tell us about penetrating?
Our surname Ekışçı comes from “Nakkaş .. The ceiling decorations made by the Nakkaş is actually about the owner of that mansion, when he comes to his house in the evening and when he puts his back on the cedar and looks at the ceiling, he found himself in the worlds he found in those patterns and finds himself in a sense. It is not a matter of the essence of man, that is, in fact the processing itself. As in the equation of people, spaces and objects I just mentioned, my father Erdoğan embroidery was a third generation who came to Istanbul from Gaziantep and gave us an unforgettable childhood. He made the restoration and interior decoration of the most important mansions of his time. Even a 17 -meter yacht was built in the garden of the workshop next to our house in Kanlıca. I have always been honored to be such a respected and productive father. My brother Ahmet Nakışçı, who has always guided me during the implementation of my ideas, chose to move forward at an early age. He has a technical intelligence and power that cannot be compared to anyone about production and material. At the same time, one of the first generation of industrial design graduates of Turkey and one of the most important reasons why I step into this world ... This work from my family is the discipline of the discipline and genetically codes to me, I feel that it is a donated responsibility beyond ability and I try to be worthy. I am proud to be dedicated to your dreams fearlessly and I think I can feel some intersection points and I am very surprised at this situation every time.
What is your relationship with Siri?
"Sorry I Didn’t Get That," he says. "That’s ok," I say. It needs a little more time.
What is the point of view of NFT?
The subject of the NFT is actually a clue about the rapid changes that the future will continue to bring to us. It seems to open the door of a new and more democratic era for artists producing in the digital world. I see the subject as a new format where I can process the emotions that I have not been able to express before. When we look back from the future, these years will determine the milestone of this new format. Personally, I don't think this curve will be reversed. However, with what a job can make the other side feel the real value and sincerity.LRing, not with the technique used. It will show this time as always.
