BEKİR SERT
2DBekir Sert, who started his professional art life as a Mangaka - Japanese: comic book illustrator - moved his compositions to canvas when he was drawn to the aesthetics of a single sequence rather than the narrative of events. Bekir Sert, who depicts algorithms of events and phenomena, as he did during his linguistics studies at Oxford University, has opened group and personal exhibitions in New York, Capri, Paris and Istanbul. Currently, she is represented by Ferda Art Platform.
Bekir Sert, a self-taught linguist/artist, started his professional art work with manga and comics. While focusing on the design of a single strip and sequence, he began combining them into a single medium. The artist first consciously creates a problem and visual chaos in the environment, and then resolves the chaos by solving this problem visually and graphically.

2019, New York, Van Der Plas Gallery
