DENİZ CİNBİL
2DDeniz Cinbil was born on September 30, 1994, and raised in Washington D.C., where she attended elementary, middle, and high school. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Fashion and Apparel Design from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, focusing on arts and design. As part of her stud-ies, she spent six months abroad at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
In 2018, Deniz was selected as one of the top 10 contestants for ITHIB's 13th Istanbul International Fabric Design Contest. While continuing her education, she collaborated with various brands such as Les Benjamins and Milagron, working as a designer, creative director, artist, and analog photogra-pher.
Deniz is the founder and creator of Abnormal Objects, a functional home goods brand that emphasizes creativity and sustainability, with a focus on furniture and product design. Currently based in Berlin, she continues to grow Abnormal Objects while also working as a freelance designer and artist.
In recent years, Deniz completed an art residency at Yer Ayvalik and held her first duo exhibition, further continuing her creative journey. Deniz's work explores the intersection of functionality and artistic expression, often emphasizing sustainable practices, innovative material use, playfulness and experimentation.
