GÜNEŞ AYTEMUR
2DGüneş Aytemur, born in 1997 in Istanbul, is a multidisciplinary artist who has developed his career in various fields of art. After completing his university education in film studies, he took significant steps in his artistic journey through his work as an assistant director and his short films.
Having been interested in painting since childhood, Güneş gained recognition with his first group exhibition at the Clio Art Fair in New York, followed by another exhibition in New Jersey where his works attracted considerable attention. He later held his first solo exhibition, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, at the Prof. Dr. Türkan Saylan Cultural Center in Maltepe. Drawing inspiration from styles such as pop art, graffiti, and classical art, he creates works that reflect his unique artistic approach. In addition to his achievements in the visual arts, the artist remains actively engaged in the world of music.
My artistic practice focuses on examining the dynamics of modern life and the individual’s position within this structure. By utilizing the visual language of popular culture, I create works that question societal norms and consumer habits. My aim is to prompt viewers to reflect through familiar imagery and invite them to explore the depths beneath the surface.
In my work, I seek to harness the energy of colors and forms to create both a visual and intellectual impact on the audience. My art is an effort to reinterpret the ordinary elements of daily life, imbuing them with new meanings.
Throughout this process, it is important for me that viewers relate their own experiences and thoughts to my works. I aspire for my art to act as a bridge between individual and collective consciousness.
