He challenges the distinction between reality and distorted reality by interpreting found photographs in the privacy of his own imagination. He tries to break down the boundaries between photography and painting. Özdemir actually carefully selects his compositions, which create the effect of being created with ordinary finds, and reconstructs the frame with the concepts he focuses on. He creates his paintings with a new integrity of meaning in his works, in a way that is technically and conceptually free from pure facts. In his works, he conveys cultural and social messages that cannot be analysed at first glance, in a symbolic language, with reference to the fact that the individual constitutes different realities. In line with this process, each viewer interprets Özdemir's works according to their own life experiences, social backgrounds and cultural codes.
