ZEHRA SARGIN
2DBorn in İznik in 1982, the artist began their art education in 1996 at Bursa Anadolu Fine Arts High School. In 2004, they graduated from Marmara University with a degree in Painting and Art Education. In 2019, they completed the master's program at Altınbaş University's Faculty of Arts and Design, with a thesis titled Psychological Conditions Shaping the Understanding of Abstract Painting. They continue their work at their studio in Bodrum.

The "Yazılar" series reminds me of a person’s life. A life with its unexpected turns, changing directions, endings, beginnings, unions, and separations—just like our lives as we navigate daily routines. It’s like stopping to take a breath and starting anew, rewriting our lives.
The "Manzaralar" series resembles a restrained storm formed by liberated lines and stains as if they are set free while writing. Not trapped but rather in a dance. At times, every brushstroke that longs to live takes on the colors of the land where I was born.
