ARTIST  STATEMENT

Bilgişin's works are full of thought experiments, as she is excited by the uncertainty of the outcome during the creation of her works and states that this feeling creates his motivation to continue her practice. These works, which reveal the subconscious, actually deal with things that cannot be expressed in words. The artist, who develops a real sense of connection with herself and the world around her through his practice, likens the practice of finding harmony between different elements during the production process to the dream process. Bilgişin, who defines a dreaming person as an architect who constantly combines ideas and symbols creatively, deals with dreams in her works as a reflection of not only individual personality but also a collective consciousness/unconsciousness, as stated in Jung's dream theory. Based on this idea, Bilgişin thinks that every artist, through their productions, relates not only to their own psyche, but also to the collective of the planet and the cosmos. In a world where the principles of psychoanalysis are used to strategize policy towards the protection of passive consumers, Bilgişin's interest is to remember that we are mysterious cosmic beings through art, to connect socially with ourselves and each other, and to develop a real sense of connection and understanding with the social orders we exist in and their histories. are the possibilities.
